GPA EUROPE

Promoting Technical and Operational Excellence in The European Gas Processing Industry

Home: Welcome

WHO ARE WE?

A Bit of Background

GPA founded in the US in the 1920's. In 1983, GPA Europe was established as a parallel organisation.

We currently have over 200 members, including the great majority of European gas companies. We aim to provide a forum to share ideas by bringing together business and technical leaders from a range of gas processing organisations across 20+ countries.

We are a not for profit organisation that brings players of the European Gas Industry together to do business around technical stories.

Here at GPA Europe, our role is two-fold:

1  GPA Europe promotes technical and operational excellence

2  GPA Europe serves as a forum for the exchange of ideas and information

GPSA ENGINEERING DATABOOK

The GPSA Engineering Databook is almost 1,000 pages of technical information and is the worldwide authoritative resource for technical and design information.

The Databook compiles basic design information together with data and procedures that can used by field and plant engineers to determine operating and design parameters.

It is also intended as an aid to design engineers who, in spite of increasing availability of computer routines and other sophisticated design methods, require a general reference work as a guide to accepted engineering practice for estimating, feasibility studies, preliminary design and for making on-site operating decisions.

The 14th Edition of the GPSA Engineering Databook is now available in SI Format. FPS versions available as a special order.

Every process engineer should have one!

All members can purchase the GPSA Engineering Databook at heavily discounted rates.

GARY BOWERBANK

Vice Chairman

Manager Gas Processing Technology, Shell Global Solutions

I have spent my entire career in various areas of Shell’s Gas Processing business, covering both Upstream and Downstream, Projects to Operations Support.  My core technical expertise is within Gas Treating and Sulphur Recovery, but happy to say that even after all this time there is still more to learn.

As well as providing technical assurance on Shell Projects, I am responsible (technically and not commercially) for Licensing Shell’s Gas Processing technologies to the external world.  I get a real kick out of developing solutions to challenging sour gas processing problems, and I truly believe “there is no such thing as a stupid question”.

I look forward to meeting you at one of our events, or virtually (LinkedIn works best).
